WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN YOUR PRODUCT?
All the ingredients we use in a product are listed on the package or the label of the product itself. To learn more, click here.
All the ingredients used by Revlon in the formulation of our cosmetic products have been reviewed for safety using rigorous safety assessments and research protocols to ensure human health and safety at the intended levels of use. Many of these raw materials have also been reviewed by regulatory authorities such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the E.U. Commission and Health Canada and have been determined as safe for their intended use by scientific panels, such as the U.S. Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel (CIR) and the E.U. Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety. (SCCS). Additional information about the safety of ingredients and raw materials that may be used in cosmetic and personal care products can be found at cosmeticsinfo.org and The Fragrance Conservatory.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OR EXPIRATION DATE OF PRODUCT?
Revlon performs extensive stability testing on all products. Test results confirm that Revlon products typically have a shelf life of at least 3 years and do not require expiration dates. Retained production is also periodically checked to ensure shelf life quality. Revlon products also conform to FDA requirements for shelf life quality as defined for regulated products such as products claiming sunscreen protection and antiperspirants. While expiration dating is not required for cosmetic products in the USA, Revlon does maintain batch code numbers that can identify production units. This information is considered proprietary.
ANIMAL TESTING POLICY
Revlon does not conduct animal testing and has not done so for decades. We comprehensively test our products using the most technologically advanced methods available to ensure they are safe to use. Regulatory authorities in some countries conduct independent testing in order to satisfy their own mandatory registration requirements and a limited number of these countries have not yet adopted alternative testing methods. While Revlon complies with the requirements for safety in these countries, we continue to collaborate with other companies to advocate for the adoption of alternative testing methods and the elimination of animal testing around the world.
CRUELTY FREE CERTIFICATIONS
For U.S. based companies, Third Party Certifications (Leaping Bunny, PETA, etc) require all brands held by a parent company to meet their cruelty-free standards globally. These standards include marketing only in countries in which regulations do not require local animal testing. Revlon Inc., being a parent company, holds a number of brands sold in more than 150 countries around the world, including markets like China where the government performs its own testing for regulatory purposes.
Revlon does not test on animals but does adhere to all regulations in international markets where our brands are sold. Until there is a certification that distinguishes brand vs. the parent company, Revlon will not be eligible for these certifications despite being cruelty-free.
